How is Stock Footage performing with AI

Overall it's not a great year for stock footage for major agencies, but I was surprised to check my earnings on shutterstock and pond 5 for some surprise sales numbers. Ai is getting to a point where it may eventually disrupt the stock footage model. On Shutterstock I was surprised to see a $540 USD sale not attached to any individual video. I'm assuming these are for earnings use to train AI models using my footage.

On Pond 5 I received a similar $350 USD sale that was attached to dataset earnings. I think these are these the cumulative earnings to use your footage library to train AI and similar related tech. I receive a similar sale in November 2024.

For creators who are interested in multi-modal creation from text, audio, music, and video Google Gemini 3 Pro is the product of 2025 for me. With products like Nano Banana, Google Flow with Veo 3.1, and Notebook Lm and canvas Google made a huge comeback in the AI space. I've used it to create audio and video podcasts that I've published with some success on youtube.
